Sonic & Allstars Racing Transformed
I worked alongside game designers tasked with producing tracks for the game 'Sonic & Allstars Racing Transformed' (multi-format, 2012). We developed the track ribbon layouts using in-house tools and engine to final whitebox sign-off. I also added base art geometry as placeholder for key elements such as landscape and key features in order to firmly establish the tracks and their locations whilst paying close attention to the SEGA franchises. On each lap, as the vehicle dynamically transforms, I designed separate layouts which connected and made use of track deviations and landscape variations. Base textures and lighting were added at this stage to communicate to the in-house and outsource art teams who worked the tracks up to final quality.
